Sustainability
Did you know?
Australia has surpassed the US as the world’s biggest consumer of textiles per capita, much of which is fast fashion that ends up in landfill.
More than 200,000 tonnes of clothing end up in landfill each year, the equivalent weight of almost four Sydney Harbour Bridges.

Once the clothes are no longer trendy, they are discarded. Due to the way the fast fashion business model works, the products are not often designed with longevity in mind. Even if the consumer wishes to keep the item of clothing for longer, the inherent quality of the item means that they disintegrate and wear out much faster than traditionally manufactured garments.
With fast fashion, the frequency of the clothing that ends up being discarded is dramatically increased and it often ends up in landfills or is incinerated, causing further environmental damage.
DEATHXTACO is committed to sustainability and making a conscious effort to create a positive change for the future within the fashion industry.
- Deathxtaco works with on-demand suppliers, we only produce items we get an order for, avoiding textile waste from overproduction. Our printing partner’s high-quality printing tech creates almost no waste and uses less energy than standard industry printers.
- By producing garments on demand, Printing On Demand drastically cuts down on the waste generated by unsold stock. This also helps to decrease carbon emissions by only producing the necessary amount of products.
- At Deathxtaco, our eco-friendly product collection consists of items made of at least 70% organic or recycled materials, or a mix of these materials.
- In future, we will attend markets and events but we are committed to low inventory in this scenario and anything that is not sold will not be discarded. In a scenario where we physically have “old stock” on our hands and for some reason need to offload them, we will work with our local charities. Under no circumstances will any of these clothing items be discarded straight from the company.
Production times
Each product you see in our catalog is made-on-demand, which means once you place the order, we start working to get it to you. It takes time for us to create and send out the product, but making each order on-demand allows us to avoid overproduction. This way we get to take care of you and the planet we all share.
TL:DR
Fast fashion =bad choice for earth, Deathxtaco =better choice for earth
